Working on an 85 stang that's stock chasie wise, but has a built up 302 with over 1000 into the motor. Working on selling the motor. Buying a built up 355 from a budy of mine. Going to pic up the motor when I decide to wake up tomarow. Had a few questions when it comes to trannys... car is a stock 5spd, t5, and I'm looking to keep it a 5spd. I have a line up on a t5 and bellhousing out of a 5.7 comaro. was wondering if the guts would switch over? Planning on using the AJE k-member with chev mounts. I've heard of more than a few ways about what headers to use. Something about headers out of a 60's comaro? I'm not looking to cut and weld the headers since I don't have the tools for this.

Good looking car , not sure if the guts will swap on the trans , maybe someome will chime in that knows for sure. But I would think that parts would interchange in them.

the parts will swap, well some of them... have you ever done a 5spd trans??? not much fun! y dont you just keep the stock trans??? Wilcap company makes a adapter plate then you will not have to change your speedo cable your trans mount drive saft lenth or any thing...? thats what i used cost about 130 bucks and the part # is 350-FT5 or you could buy a universal blow proof bell. www.wilcap.com/webdoc8.htmlchevy 10.5 cluch and mustang 10.5 presure plate. you can use your stock k member too the mounts are a pain but not as much as the new k member they are always tweaked a little... tend to be a lot of work and they dont take that much weight off for the money..... headers you can use s10 v8 swap, or chevelle long tubes.... hopes this helps
