hey guys i'v been reading the forum for the past while but only registered today , at the end of the winter i am buying a fox body mustang and am over hauling it the following winter with a chevy motor. i have looked into buying the ajc k member , trans cross member and the dynatech headers , and reading about franks mustang and how he said it fit better then original , that finalized my dicision about that , so i wont have to fab up any motor mounts or anything. the only real question i'v been thinking about in my head is what transmission to use , its between the th350 and the th400 it will be a street car with a few rides out to the strip every now and then. what tranny have you guys used with this conversion/ what transmission is the better one to get?
i got alot of questions to come but i would like some opinions on the transmisson , thanks alot guys!

Between the 2 options you wish to use on the trans , I would go with the th350 its light will hold up to about 500 ponies pretty easy and fits in the car pretty good.
The th400 is a little bigger in girth and will require a little more beating of the floor for it to fit good, and not to mention it is a horsepower hog! It is tough, but more suited to a heavy car, wich you wont have, JMO.
