i got myself a 88 hatch with a worked 306 and a strongly built c4, i sold the motor but would like to use the transmission since its already there and done, i kno there is a bellhousing adapter to bolt it to the 350 but does this have any effect on the length of the driveshaft? car already has an aluminum driveshaft so i hope not.....

I wouldnt think the adapter would be very thick. If needed you could just scoot teh motor forward a little bit. Sounds like you just need a 351 engine back in that engine bay. If you have everything Ford why change ?

I would say WHY! Put a ford engine back in Most ford guys that are fast run TH400 or glides...C4 are not a strong transmission....weaker then a TH350 even
