I am new here. I have my 350 mounted in my 90 Mustang and am trying to use s10 conversion headers. My question is, what do you do to modify the steering. I have a manual rack and pinion. I can not figure how to reroute the steering. The headers run right through the steering shaft.

I tried the s-10 headers and I could not make them work period!!! I dont know how others are making them work but for me there was no way.
I used a set of 78 malibu headers with good success , but heck why bother making anything fit when you can buy a set right from jegs that bolt on !!

Hey Guys.
I have a 86gt. I made my own motor mounts on the existing k-member. I found a set of hedman long tube headers for full size Jimmy/Suburban on Kijiji for $200 brand new. They slide right in. They are even bent to go around the steering column. Where they exit is pointed right at the 2 up sweeps in the tranni mount for the factory GT exhaust. I will post some pics the next couple of days and get the part number as well. Hope this helps.
