Hey Guys, finally found a forum on sbc mustangs. I have an 86 GT that I am putting a 78 350 in. The motor and tranni are in and am now looking for headers to cut up and weld to fit. I will put some pictures up soon. I don't know if it was a mistake finding this forum as now I am more anxious then ever to get the car done, but what can I do right.

No I decided to build the other 350 block instead. So I am now usind the old motor for mock up. My othe block I am shooting for 450 - 500 hp. Should go better then the other one.

Pretty easy to get 450hp out of a 350 with a roller cam set up. If your looking to get 500hp better go ahead and stroke it to 383 . You can build about 1.5 hp per cube with good parts.

450 horse should really make her go, I am in the process of just putting in a stock ho 305 in my 91, just because i have it, and I love the sbc and love my fox! On a 350, you could almost just give it enough juice to get that cant you, what are your engine specs, and what do you have to do to the rest of your car to handle that much power, pics pics!

You can get a set of Dynatech headers. So, you don't have to cut up a pair of headers. They cost about as much as the Kooks or Lemons Headers.

I am assembling my motor tommorrow. I will post pics of my progress. I am using hedman headers from a suburban. They slid right in with a little massaging on the pipe that goes closest to the stearing column. I threw the box out before I wrote the part number down. I will post pics of the as well, maybe you can match up the pictures with hedmans pictures.

28x10.5x15 will fit with the right offset and BFH. But I like a 26x10x15 on my car with a 4:11 gear. My car runs 6.90's in the 1/8th with no problems hooking and totes the front wheels about 2' high and for about 30'
